Mermaid Show

In amongst the sharks and giant rays at Turkuazoo Aquarium, award-winning British underwater group “Aquabatix” performed their show “Mermaid Love Story”.  It’s the story of a beautiful mermaid who saves a shipwrecked man from drowning and they fall in love and live happily ever after in her magical kingdom. Visitors were delighted with the show.

Traditional Turkish “Karagöz & Hacivat” Show

The “Karagöz & Hacivat” Show, which is a traditional shadow play presented especially in the month of Ramadan, was performed underwater to spread holiday cheer and Ramadan sprit.

Sponge Bob Square Pants

When Sponge Bob Square Pants visited Turkuazoo Aquarium the children had lots of fun having their pictures taken and playing with their favourite cartoon character. During his 6 day visit the children watched Sponge Bob Square Pants cartoons and received Sponge Bob Square Pants branded milk distributed by the sponsor, Sek Sut.

Santa Claus Scuba-dives with Sharks

Santa Claus, to raise awareness for ocean environmental protection, scuba-dived in a display tank with 4,5 million litres of water, 35 sharks (including 2,5 metre-long sand tiger sharks), giant rays and more than 10 000 other fish species at Turkuazoo Aquarium. After his show Santa Claus was available for photographs with visiting children.

Pirate Show at Turkuazoo

During the mid-term school holidays pirates were on hand to welcome visitors to Turkuazoo Aquarium where education and entertainment are high priorities. Visitors also had the opportunity to watch an Underwater Pirate Show.

Turkuazoo Diving Centre’s 1st Anniversary

A party, to celebrate the first anniversary of Turkuazoo Aquarium’s Dive Centre, was held in the 270 degree panoramic underwater room. The aquarium’s Dive Centre contains 4,5 million litres of water and is home to 35 sharks (including 2,5 metre-long sand tiger sharks), giant rays and more than 10 000 other fish species.
